55-Year-Old Parrot Hatched In Fremont Enjoys Day Out: Photo

This is Gunner, who hatched in Fremont in 1968.

FREMONT, CA —Meet Gunner who, according to Jeff Cast, was hatched and raised in Fremont, starting his life journey in 1968. During his lifetime, the population of Fremont has more than doubled — from 100,000 to an estimated 231,000.

Jeff recently took Gunner to Lake Elizabeth in Fremont's Central Park where he enjoyed the afternoon sunshine from a bench near the boat ramp.
