FREMONT, CA — A Fremont man was charged with sharing child pornography in an online group chat, including at least one photo involving an infant, according to an East Bay Times report.
Aaron Cloud, 32, was charged with possession of child sexual abuse material and released pending a future January court date, according to the report.
Cloud is accused of telling users in a Kik chat that he was interested in children and sharing child pornography, according to the report.
According to the report, users in the group chat rebuffed him, including one person who called him a "pedo."
A cybertip against Cloud prompted Fremont investigators to begin looking into the 32-year-old's digital footprint before he was arrested in connection with alleged crimes, according to the report.
