Oakland Man Admits To Sex Trafficking Child He Met On Instagram: Feds
Keynin McGee, 27, met the girl through Instagram and bought her a bus ticket to meet him in person, federal prosecutors said.
OAKLAND, CA — A 27-year-old Oakland man pleaded guilty Wednesday to sex trafficking a child he met on social media, federal prosecutors said.
Keynin McGee admitted in federal court to sex trafficking a minor, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. He faces at least 10 years in prison at sentencing, federal prosecutors said.
Assistant Attorney General A. Tysen Duva of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division called McGee's exploitation of the girl for money "reprehensible and heinous."

When she arrived, McGee picked her up at the bus station, bought her clothes, and took her to a hotel, prosecutors said.
McGee then posted pictures of the girl on websites authorities say are commonly used to buy and sell sex, according to federal prosecutors.
"McGee then drove the victim to outdoor areas in Oakland and San Francisco known for commercial sex work and instructed her to solicit sex buyers in passing cars," federal prosecutors said. "Because of his conduct, the minor victim engaged in commercial sex acts with multiple buyers."
It's unclear whether McGee pleaded guilty as part of a plea deal with prosecutors. His sentence will be determined at the "discretion of the court" after all factors are considered, federal prosecutors said.
Federal prosecutors said they would continue to "pursue and prosecute vile individuals who victimize and traffic minors."
