Attempted Murder Arrest Made In Fremont Shooting: Police
The victim suffered major injuries but is expected to survive.

FREMONT, CA — A person shot in Fremont on Wednesday is expected to survive, according to Fremont Police, who also announced an arrest in the case.
"A 15-year-old juvenile has been arrested for the shooting and was booked for attempt murder and firearms possession," police said in a written statement. "Detectives are continuing to work on identifying and arresting additional suspects."
The shooting happened shortly before 11 a.m. in the 5700 block of Lemke Place.

The police department's SWAT team members and detectives surrounded and searched a residence on Ellsworth Street.
Police said on Wednesday that the shooting was not believed to be related to a shooting the previous night.
