3.2 Earthquake Shakes Bay Area Thursday Morning
The U.S. Geological Survey reports the earthquake was felt more than 100 miles from the epicenter in Fremont.
SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CA — An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude reading of 3.4 was felt at 9:35 Thursday morning in the Bay Area. The magnitude has now been downgraded to 3.2.
The epicenter was Fremont, according to the United States Geological Survey Shake Map. The Hayward Fault runs through Fremont, with the Calaveras Fault nearby.

No injuries or damage have been reported.
The shaking was widely felt in the East Bay and South Bay, with sporadic reports from the North Bay, San Francisco, Santa Cruz and Central Valley.
