Scenic Train Rides Through Niles Canyon
Event Details
The Niles Canyon Railway is thrilled to be back for 2025 with a new set of scenic train rides on the second and third weekends of March and continuing the same schedule each month through October.
Come take a relaxing 1.5 hour round trip train ride through scenic Niles Canyon starting from our Niles (City of Fremont), CA station then traveling to Sunol and back by a train of both open and enclosed railroad cars on part of the route of the original Transcontinental Railroad. Trains are departing from Niles/Fremont for this special weekend. Sunol is our standard departure station for most rides. Restrooms and a snack bar are available on the train.. No one will be able to get on or off at Sunol.
Two departures each day at 10:30AM and 1:00PM. Each operating day will feature either a historic diesel locomotive pulling the train or a historic steam locomotive having the honors of leading the train through the canyon.
