FREMONT, CA — Two people escaped from a car that went off the Dumbarton Bridge Wednesday morning, the Fremont Police Department told KRON-4 news.

Both the driver and a passenger were able to get out of the car, which was in water up to the door handles of the vehicle.

Separately, the CHP reported that 4 people may have been in the vehicle.
