Coroner Identifies Man Found Dead on Walnut Avenue
Officials say the Fremont resident's death was not suspicious.

The coroner has identified a man found dead Sunday afternoon in Fremont as Gregory Skillern, according to the Alameda County coroner’s bureau. Skillern was a 58-year-old Fremont resident. Police said the death does not appear to be suspicious.

Police and medics responded at about 3:30 p.m. to a report of a body on Walnut Avenue between California Street and Fremont Boulevard, police said. Authorities declared the man dead on Walnut Avenue, according to police.
