Do Your Part to Save California
The best leader for CA may be up for debate, but not the recall itself. Remove and replace Newsom.
It’s long overdue, take personal interest in YOUR state. Various media entities and certain political groups might spin the recall effort as one-sided. When was having accountability, transparency, affordability or safety one-sided? Newsom is desperate and it shows. You pick your reason:
CA is burning again with the wildfires. Newsom touted his efforts in wildfire prevention. Really? Per NPR (yes NPR), Newsom misrepresented and even disinvested $ into prevention and overestimated acres treated with fuel breaks by 690%. Mmm, is that a good job? Perhaps some of you know people affected by the fires. Is this what you want to hear?
On affordability, what’s up with gas prices? My nephew told me a couple weeks ago he paid over $6 a gallon in Daily City. CA has struggled with high gas prices for last few years. Back in 2019 people were complaining about this and Newsom asked AG X. Becerra to investigate if false advertising or price fixing going on. Or was it big bad oil? Newsom knows exactly what’s going on. That “mystery surcharge” amounted to taxes and fees we pay here. High prices and fees discourage us from driving too much for battling climate change. I am all for doing our part for caring for our environment but hitting us at the pumps. Who are you hurting? Middle to poor people who don’t have Teslas.

SB 1. Wait didn’t Newsom want to divert funds from repairing/upgrading roads and bridges to fund transportation options that reduce greenhouse gases. Remember SB 1 was to be spent on highway projects not the bullet train to nowhere. Yes he did and he walked back his comments when he realized people noticed.
I recall the non-partisan CA Auditor E. Howle warned 18 state agencies were “high risk” for waste and fraud of federal COVID funds back in AUGUST 2020! She said departments that poorly manage federal COVID funds may negatively affect Californians. Fast forward to this year. Did the pandemic closures affect your financial well-being and you tried to rely on the Ca EDD? Well it didn’t help thousands of Californians to know $11 billion were paid in fraud claims and $19 billion are still being investigated. Meanwhile legit claims are sitting with thousands in the back log. Epic failure.

I mentioned the bullet train to nowhere. Botched, botched and botched but it didn’t matter to Newsom. In 2019 he was for scaling down the layers of consultants and administration but an LA Times report found the opposite. When things go wrong, all involved parties point fingers at each other to the point that the culprit cannot be determined. “it’s such a pillage to the taxpayers”.
Violent crime. Newsom touts strictest guns laws yet local police agencies are turning to the federal government to help prosecute gun crimes (and narcotics sales as I have had some of my cases go federal too). Why? Because there is a better chance of a felon committing a gun crime to be prosecuted and serve a longer prison sentence under federal laws. Ca leadership under Newsom does the opposite, relaxes sentences for gun-related crimes under the guise of social justice. There’s already a bill being pushed relating to this. Know anyone who was a victim of a gun-related crime? Where’s the justice there?
