Driver Killed In San Mateo-Hayward Bridge Crash Identified As Fremont Woman: Report
Another passenger was taken to a hospital with major injuries, according to a report from the Press Democrat.
FREMONT, CA — A woman who was killed in a crash on the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge on Tuesday afternoon has been identified as a Fremont resident, according to a report from the Press Democrat.
The woman was identified as 54-year-old Mary Esther Hurato Duran, according to the report.

Duran's car had stalled in a lane on the bridge when a distracted driver crashed into it and a second vehicle around 2:45 p.m., according to the report.
The 54-year-old died at the scene, and another person was taken to a local hospital with major injuries, according to the report.
