Fremont Man Arrested For Beating Alleged Burglar With Baseball Bat: Police
Breaking: Both the suspect and victim were taken into custody.

FREMONT, CA — Two people were arrested Saturday evening after a burglary victim allegedly assaulted the alleged burglar with a deadly weapon, according to police.
Police officers responded to the Five Corners area in Irvington at 7:13 p.m. on reports of a man hitting someone with a baseball bat. Both people were immediately detained and an investigation revealed the man with the bat had been a victim of burglary and was hitting the person who allegedly stole items from his home.
Police said the burglary victim returned to his home on Morningside Terrace to find that several items had been stolen. After driving around, he located a suspect wearing a few of his distinctive watches.

The burglary victim approached the suspect and began hitting him several times with the bat, according to police. They said the suspect, who was later identified as a juvenile, suffered several injuries from the bat and required medical attention. He was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

The burglary victim was also arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Police did not immediately release the names of the two suspects.
