Fremont Police Arrest Man For Public Drunkenness, Theft

FREMONT,CA — A man was arrested in Fremont on Friday after allegedly stealing alcohol and being drunk in public, according to police.
Police said officers were dispatched to the Five Corners intersection where Fremont and Washington boulevards meet to investigate an alleged sexual battery.
Upon arrival, officers stopped a 48-year-old man who was acting extremely belligerent and appeared to be drunk.

The man was arrested and an investigation revealed he was allegedly in possession of stolen liquor.
The original caller did not seek to press charges, but the man was arrested and taken to jail on suspicion of public intoxication and theft. His name was not immediately available.
