Fremont Police Officer Honored For Heroic Actions

The officer performed life-saving actions on a citizen in August.

FREMONT, CA — Fremont Police Officer Michael Paiva has received a commendation for performing life-saving measures on a 37-year-old man on Aug. 20.

According to the police department, Paiva's actions when he responded to a call of a man down left the victim with "a more positive long term prognosis and recovery."

Paiva received his Commendable Performance award From Chief Richard Lucero last Friday.
