Fremont Restaurant Workers Threatened With Baseball Bat

FREMONT, CA — Employees at a Fremont Denny's restaurant were threatened with a baseball bat early Tuesday, police report. The suspects led police on a 5 mile chase, and got away.

Police report that the suspect's car was later found abandoned on Westerly Terrace. There were no injuries reported, and no arrests.

According to a tweet from police, the crime spree began "with armed robbery suspects who failed to pay for their meal at Denny’s."

There are two Denny's restaurants in Fremont, at 46645 Mission Blvd. and 5280 Mowry Ave.
