Homeless Man Accused Of Arson Arrested By Fremont Police
He is also accused of inflicting physical injury, criminal threats, and probation violation.

FREMONT, CA — A 58-year-old homeless man living at a Fremont encampment has been arrested by Fremont police after he allegedly beat up his girlfriend, threatened to kill her, and then set fire to their encampment to destroy their property. "The fire threatened several homes in the area and necessitated a small localized evacuation," police report.
The fire happened June 30, shortly before 10 a.m. near the area of Mission Boulevard and Mowry Avenue.
Fremont General Crimes Detectives and Fremont Fire Investigators worked together on the case. On July 9, Jeffrey Wells was spotted by Fremont patrol officers, arrested and booked into the Fremont Jail.
