Increased Parking Enforcement Happening In Fremont

The enforcement effort is happening in response to complaints about parking violations.

FREMONT, CA -- Fremont officers will be conducting targeted parking enforcement in the city for two weeks starting today, police said this morning. The enforcement effort is happening in response to complaints about parking violations, described by police as "one of the most common frustrations we hear about in Fremont."

Most violations carry a $63 fine for the first offense, and for the second offense within 12 months, the penalty goes up to $123, according to police.

Expired registrations, parking by a fire hydrant and parking in a No Stopping Any Time zone are some of the violations officers will be checking for, police said.
