
FREMONT, CA — A man was shot-to-death by a Fremont Police Officer Sunday evening, police report.
One police officer was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries suffered in a scuffle with the suspect. The officer was treated for injuries and released, according to police.
Police were called about 4:15 about an altercation in progress. Multiple officers converged on the scene. After the officer was injured by the suspect, the suspect was shot to death. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Some 5 hours after the shooting, police were still waiting for the coroner to arrive.

According to police, "there is no current danger to the public and there are no suspects outstanding."
