• Man dies after crashing vehicle into building in Fremont (mercurynews.com) — An 88-year-old driver died after crashing his vehicle into a building near Niles Boulevard and Cinematic Common in Fremont early Saturday afternoon, marking the city's ninth fatal traffic collision this year. Police say no bystanders were hurt and are still investigating whether speed or a medical issue played a role, asking anyone with information to contact the Fremont Police Department's Traffic Unit or send anonymous tips online or by text.
