FREMONT, CA — A man who was fatally hit by a car while walking in a Fremont crosswalk earlier this month has been identified as 67-year-old Tadeus Imrich, the Alameda County Coroner's office said Friday.

Imrich, a Fremont resident, was hit at the intersection of Warm Springs and Mission boulevards at about 7:35 p.m. March 7, according to Fremont police.

He was struck by a 2000 Lexus sedan that was turning right from southbound Warm Springs Boulevard onto westbound Mission Boulevard after nearly being hit by another car making that same turn, according to police.
