Pedestrian Killed In Fremont Saturday ID'd

The Fremont man was hit by a vehicle on Mission Boulevard.

FREMONT, CA — A pedestrian who died early Saturday when he was hit by a vehicle on Mission Boulevard has been identified by the Alameda County Coroner's Bureau as Arthur Daugherty of Fremont. He was 67-years-old.

The collision was reported around 12:15 a.m. when Daugherty was crossing Mission at Sullivan Underpass. The driver immediately pulled over, called 911 and attempted to give aid to the victim, the Fremont Police Department reported.

Officers and medical personnel also provided first aid when they arrived, but Daugherty was pronounced dead at the scene.
