Shelter Order Lifted After 'Possible Threat' Called In At Fremont High School: PD

School hours have resumed to normal, police said.

FREMONT, CA — A high school in Fremont was ordered to shelter-in-place after authorities say they received a tip about a "possible threat" at the campus.

Few details were immediately available about what threat was called in. Officers responded to Kennedy High School around 1 p.m. and are working to secure the campus while looking for any suspicious activity, according to the Fremont Police Department.

It appears the threat was unfounded, as the shelter order was lifted just 15 minutes after officers responded to the campus. School has resumed normal hours of operations, according to the Fremont Police Department.
