FREMONT, CA — Today's photo of the day comes from Marc and Lee Vitale in Fremont.

Lee captured these shots of a wonderful purple sunset in Fremont last week and Marc shared them with Patch and its readers.

"Maybe this is one reason why Fremont is both the happiest and least stressed city in the U.S.," Marc told Patch.

The moonsoon pattern brings in hot temperatures and unique cloud formations that end up creating colorful sunsets and sunrises, according to forecasters.

If you have an awesome photo of nature, breathtaking scenery, kids caught being kids, a pet doing something funny, or something unusual you happen to catch with your camera, we'd love to feature it on Patch.

We're looking for high-resolution images that reflect the beauty and fun of Northern California and that boast your unique talents. Cell phone images are fine.
