Sunset Reflected In Water: Photos Of The Day

Joe Albano used three Fremont water backdrops for his photos — Lake Elizabeth, Quarry Lakes, and the Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge.

FREMONT, CA — Longtime Fremont resident Joe Albano has contributed photos to Fremont Patch for the first time, encouraged by friends who admire his work.

Joe's photos have been accepted and displayed at Fremont's Annual Juried Photo Show and at the Alameda County Faire.

"I have been in Fremont for over 45 years," said Albano. "The gladiola farms are gone, the peach and walnut orchards have disappeared but I thank God for the pioneers and early leaders of this beautiful city to have had the insight and wisdom to have protected these beautiful areas of the city for its residents, like myself, to enjoy. I hope and pray that present and future leaders will continue to protect them for future generations to enjoy, as well - to watch the Fremont hills' beautiful golden brown in the summertime to beautiful emerald green in the winter."
