Suspected 'Chain Snatch' Robber Arrested
Police said the male, 21, admitted committing the crimes. Other possible victims out there? Call the Fremont PD.
FREMONT, CA – Police in Fremont arrested Kenyon Thomas, 21, of Fremont, in connection with two recent "chain snatch" robberies.
The first robbery was reported on June 9 on Trafalgar Road. The victim reported the suspect was a black man driving a green Buick with paper license plates.
The second robbery occurred in the Charter Square Shopping Center parking lot, and the victim also reported the suspect was a black man driving a green Buick with paper license plates.

Investigators reviewed video captured from a nearby community camera system and were able to identify the suspect vehicle, police said.
They identified Thomas as the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest.

He was located Saturday at an address on Lake Mask Place in Fremont and was taken into custody.
Police said he admitted his involvement in both robberies.
