Teen Shot in Neck in Fremont

The suspect has not been caught.

FREMONT, CA — A 19-year-old man was shot in the neck in Fremont on Sunday evening, according to police.

Police were first called to reports of the shooting in the 4600 block of Central Avenue shortly after 6 p.m., police said. They found the victim lying in the street with a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries and is in stable condition today, police said.

Witnesses told police that a man around 20 years old fled the shooting scene in a dark sedan. The suspect was last seen driving east on Central Avenue toward Fremont Boulevard, police said.

No one has been arrested as of this afternoon.
