Train Passing Through The Hills: Photo Of The Day

FREMONT, CA — There's beauty all around us if we'd just stop to look at the world with different eyes. That's the message from Manoela Kruger of Fremont, who did exactly that recently when her afternoon school pickup was interrupted by a train.

Manoela tells Patch, "I live in the Canyon Heights Area and I took this picture this past Thursday. It was taken on Clarke Dr. at Canyon Heights Dr. I was driving my kids back home from school (in a Sunol) and was about to cross the train track when the crossing gate closed. When it’s the Amtrak train the wait is pretty short, but the cargo train can take some time - and mess up with the traffic on Mission and adjacent streets... This time, instead of complaining about it, I decided to enjoy the view! It was such a beautiful day and the train looked so pretty all of sudden. It went by pretty fast this time - well, at least that’s what it felt like for me! :)"

We agree! Look at the sky, trees and hills - so beautiful. Thank you for sharing this photo, Manoela.
