Tri-City Sexual Assault Suspect Caught

FREMONT, CA -- Police on Sunday announced the arrest of a Fremont sexual assault suspect. The suspect, who was not identified, allegedly sexually assaulted two employees at a Party City store then robbed the business.

The incident happened at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at the store located at the Fremont Hub in the 39200 block of Fremont Hub, police said.

Police said the suspect was armed with a handgun when he entered the store and assaulted the victims.

Officers located the suspect in the 40500 block of Grimmer Blvd and made the arrest. The suspect was transported back to the Police Department where he met with detectives and was then booked.

Police said the investigation into the alleged crime is underway.
