Wildfire Evacuation Warning: Fremont

A wildfire broke out Monday afternoon on Mill Creek Road. Residents are warned to pack now for a possible evacuation.

FREMONT, CA — The Fremont Fire and Police departments have issued an Evacuation Warning for all residents of Mill Creek Road from the 9000 block to 196 because of a wildfire.

The fire was first reported at 1:23 p.m. on Monday, according to the app PulsePoint.

An alert reads, "Residents should prepare now by packing necessary items and preparing your family, pets, and vehicle for a possible departure. Please use common sense and evacuate at any time you feel uncomfortable or see active fire behavior."

Considering the road, evacuating before an order is issued may be wise.

Multiple agencies are working to put out the fire, but this is just the latest wildfire to break out.

The Fremont Fire Department reported on Sunday that fire engines were proactively patrolling Mill Creek Road for any hazards, because of the Marsh Fire.
