• Southern Humboldt Man Airlifted to Stanford Hospital for Liver Condition; Family Seeks Help (kymkemp.com) — A Garberville-area resident, Mark Chambers Jr., was airlifted from Jerold Phelps Community Hospital to Stanford Tri-Valley Hospital for serious liver problems, and he’s expected to stay hospitalized for several days. His wife has launched a GoFundMe to help cover mounting medical, travel, and food costs as the family copes with both this emergency and recent financial strain.

It's PG&E (kymkemp.com) — Low-flying PG&E helicopters will be inspecting power lines in and around Garberville daily through late May, hovering as low as 200 feet to check wildfire risks. Crews are using LiDAR and high‑resolution imaging to spot vegetation problems on distribution lines in high fire‑threat areas across Humboldt County, including your community.
