The patient initially declined help, then requested ambulance transport, prompting air medical services to be recommitted with a new landing zone at Eel River Camp north of Redway.
   

• After a Lightning Strike, a Long Wait Ends: Leggett Post Office to Reopen in New Space (kymkemp.com) — For more than two years, many Leggett residents had to drive to the Garberville Post Office on Sprowl Creek Road just to pick up their mail. With Leggett’s post office finally reopening June 15, June 12 will be the last day Leggett customers can collect mail in Garberville, ending a long, inconvenient routine for both communities.
