2.5-Magnitude Quake Hits Near Morgan Hill

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.5 was reported near Morgan Hill this morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor reported at 10:31 a.m. was located 5 miles northeast of Morgan Hill and 12 miles north of Gilroy, USGS officials.

The quake had a depth of 2.1 miles, according to USGS officials.
