Amazingly, Driver Escaped Uninjured Before Train Collision In Morgan Hill

A Union Pacific train hit a truck that stalled on the tracks in Morgan Hill this afternoon, police said.

The southbound train hit the truck near the intersection of San Pedro and Railroad avenues at about 1:30 p.m., according to Morgan Hill police.

The truck had broken down and stalled between the railroad crossing arms there.

The driver was able to get out before the train hit the truck and was uninjured, police said.
