Free Summer Meals for Low-Income Youth

Editor's note: this information was provided by Second Harvest Food Bank.

School's out and most children are buzzing about the excitement summer brings. But for the one in three children who rely on school meals in our region, summer can bring long days filled with hunger.

Thankfully, they have the support of many community organizations and schools that continue to provide meals to children during the summer.

Second Harvest Food Bank has developed a list of summer meal sites open to youth 18 and under in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. Any child can be served a meal at these open sites, no questions asked, whether or not they are registered in the program where the meal site is located.

The is for children only, not adults, due to State/Federal requirements. Your help spreading the word about the availability of these free meals for children in need is appreciated.
