Rock 'N Wine Series Comes to Gilroy's 9Lives

This Saturday, June 9, is the inaugural Rock 'N Wine series at 9Lives in downtown Gilroy. 

Rock 'N Wine combines first class live music with elements of a traditional wine tasting event. Guests will experience a unique selection of delicious wine samplings from the featured vintners at an entertaining live music venue that has been voted “Best Live Music Venue” by readers in the Gilroy Dispatch.

This Saturday’s event will feature a live performance by BWP/Mack recording artists BIG WOOD. BIG WOOD is a melodic rock band based in the South Bay and is currently in the studio recording their debut record with legendary Queen/Billy Squier producer Mack.

They will be playing many of the songs from the upcoming album at this event. Special guests Blue Fuse will perform after BIG WOOD to keep the night going strong with a wide selection of popular dance songs.

The featured local wineries for Saturday’s event will be Fortino Winery, Solis Winery and Sarah’s Vineyard. Each of these award-winning wineries will be providing complimentary samples of their wines during the pre-show with all of the featured wines available for purchase once the show starts.

Event Schedule:

  • Doors open at 7 p.m.
  • Complimentary wine tasting from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
  • BIG WOOD hits the stage around 8:30 p.m.
  • Blue Fuse hits the stage around 10 p.m. and plays until close

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance through the 9Lives ticket website or at the door on the day of the event.
