CMAP Launches “Pets of Our Lives” Pet Video Contest

Win great prizes in CMAP TV's Pet Video Contest!

To celebrate and share your amazing pets with our viewers and the world, Community Media Access Partnership, or CMAP, has launched the “Pets of Our Lives” Pet Video Contest. The contest will run the month of March with a final call for submissions by June 1st, 2013 by midnight Pacific time. All videos will be shown online at www.cmap.tv, and on CMAP's local community television cable channel 20 on Charter cable.

CMAP is asking residents of Gilroy and San Benito County to enter any videos of their pets doing crazy tricks, acting funny, dancing, or just being cute.

Don't have a good camera? No problem. CMAP is offering classes and certifying residents to check out HD cameras, lighting and audio equipment, and editing software to make your video submissions. CMAP is now located at Christopher High School, 850 Day Road in Gilroy. CMAP staff also provides weekly workshops for youth at locations in Hollister. Call CMAP to set up an orientation and training at 408.722.9144 or email info@cmap.tv

To submit their videos, contestants must make a 3-minute or less video of their pet and then upload their footage to YouTube by the deadline. All entries are due by midnight Pacific time on June 1st, 2013.

Then contestants must fill out the contest submission form and read all contest rules found on www.cmap.tv/petvideocontest. The last step is to share the video from YouTube to CMAP TV’s Facebook page.

If the contestant does not have a Facebook, they can email the video link to nick@cmap.tv. or call Nick Petrilla at CMAP, 831.205.1350.
