Citizen Journalism Workshop - Garlic Festival Edition!
Learn the basics of citizen journalism from local journalist and media consultant Jennifer Pittman... just in time to cover Garlic Festival!
The first session (July 18) introduces key concepts of citizen journalism and includes hands-on training on multimedia tools – from HD cameras to your smartphone – that you can use to capture video and audio for your stories.
The following weekend (July 24-26), you can try out your new skills at the Gilroy Garlic Festival.
The second session (August 1) is an opportunity to share – and improve – the stories that you began at the Garlic Festival. We’ll also help you edit the audio and video content that will accompany your print story.
