City Council Preview: Restructuring of the Open Government Commission
The council will also motion to approve funding for the Gilroy Compassion Center.

The City of Gilroy has quite a few issues to tackle at Monday's 6 p.m. meeting, including approving the minutes from the council's meetings on , and 12.
A few anticipated highlights from Monday's meeting are below.
- Under new business, the council will motion to approve a Gilroy Housing Trust fund award of $21,000 to the Gilroy Compassion Center.
- Also under new business, the council will motion to appoint members of the community to serve as council representatives. There are that the council opened in late 2012.
- There will also be a discussion about the make-up of the City's Open Government Commission. The city is considering opening recruitment for two positions within the commission, according to the agenda document, with the objective of getting more members of the community involved. A report detailing the Open Government Commissions in the cities of San Jose, Berkeley, Milpitas and the city and county of San Francisco are included as a sampling of the different commissions, the agenda states.
