City Seeks to Fill One Vacancy on Parks and Recreation Commission

Interested individuals have until the end of the month to apply.

Would you like to be part of a seven-member commission that advises city staff about public parks, urban foresty, recreation and the like?

If so, the City of Gilroy is currently accepting applications to fill one vacancy on the  Parks and Recreation Commission. The vacancy is for the remainder of a four-year term that ends Dec. 31 2013.

As a member of the Parks and Recreation Commission, you'll advise the city council and other staff members on anything and everything pertaining to the advancement of park and recreation planning.

Regular meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in city hall.

Applicants will be interviewed on Monday, Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. at the City of Gilroy Council Chambers, and an appointment will follow.

Applications should be submitted by Tuesday, Jan. 31st by 5 p.m. Interested applicants can submit their application via email, mail or in person. Submission details are below.
