A 3.0 magnitude earthquake struck near Gilroy Saturday afternoon, according to the USGS.
The temblor hit at 12:39 p.m.. Epicentered underneat Gilroy, it was five miles deep, according to the US Geological Survey.

According to the USGS, the quake was:
- 12.0 km (7.5 mi) ESE of San Martin, California
- 18.0 km (11.2 mi) SE of Morgan Hill, California
- 21.0 km (13.0 mi) NE of Aromas, California
- 22.0 km (13.7 mi) NNW of Hollister, California
No damage or injuries have been reported as a result of the quake, which struck along the Calaveras Fault.
