Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting

The Parks and Recreation Commission is a seven (7) member body which is responsible for advising the Community Services Department and the City Council on all matters pertaining to public parks, urban forestry, recreation, and to cooperate with other governmental agencies and civic groups in the advancement of sound park and recreation planning and programming. The Parks and Recreation Commission is responsible for the review of all City Street Tree applications that do not meet the criteria for consideration by the Operations Division Manager. The Parks and Recreation Commission is also a reviewing body to facilitate the public hearing process for Parks and Recreation Master Plan(s) and related park planning projects, and acts as a recommending body to the City Council. The Parks and Recreation Commission meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 7351 Rosanna Street.
