Fundraisers Will Feed You in Gilroy This Week
Three fundraisers with kid-friendly evening meals, a science day at Gilroy Gardens and a weekend carnival top the list for this week's Gilroy Kids Planner.

Where/When: , 3050 Hecker Pass Rd, Wednesday, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Why Go: Hot dogs, hamburgers and music by the Watsonville Community Band. A cookout and a concert under the stars. Fun for you, fun for the kids and the money you spend will be put to a good causeβ since this is a fundraiser for the Gilroy Memorial Day parade.

The Brownell Middle School Parents Club hosts a Papa Murphy's Fundraiser on the first Thursday of each month. And this is the first Thursday. Another night you don't have to cook and you know your money is supprting Brownell Middle School programs.

Why Go: Three nights in a row you can get away without cooking AND know the money you spend is not only keeping you away from the stove, but is also helping out a school. The All You Can Eat Dinner features spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, dessert and something to drink.

Why Go: It's all about science at Gilroy Gardens today, and it's all directed toward elementary school kids; the very young ones from kindergarten to second grade; and the older ones in a separate grouping (up ot fifth grade). Students participate in different educational activities throughout the day, but have fun doing it. And they have the park to themselves!

Why Go: Next best thing to going to an amusement park. San Benito High School is where theΒ will host its annual carnival Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Rides and games, most definitely a carnival atmosphere. Friday the carnival opens from 5 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Pricing: Cash-only prices are $20 for a book of 30 tickets or $20 for an all-day wristband.
