The Lone Ranger and Despicable Me 2 delights the younger crowd. Grew takes on evil in the form of mall hairdresser and restaurant owner. Green toddler - like beings laughingly speak while in danger of purple serum.
We prefer the 2D to the 3D version, but have an aversion to those glasses. Despicable Me 2 provides a delightful escape with the family from our summer heat.
The Lone Ranger flashes back for viewers who remember the old black and white version. Johnny Depp is Tonto perfection as he humorously reminds the Lone Ranger, who aspires to greatness, that he is just "Kemosabe". High Ho, Silver and Away with these two summer fun flicks. All will enjoy Despicable Me 2 and the younger crowd will find The Lone Ranger mildly entertaining.
