Welcome to the Garlic Town Review and the fabulous Garlic Festival. Family, friends and neighbors will come out and support local charities, school, teams and good causes all in the name of bulbous fun.
Locals know that Friday is the best day to check out the new dishes and sculptures. Others will argue that Saturday and Sundays rock. Whether in the amphitheater, or on the garlic stages, sing a song and dance one. Pck out the newest jewelry or brass sculptures as you wander up and down aisles of artisans who always include a little garlic bulb in their designs. Whether you are here to try the Gourmet Alley, slurp cool lemonade, buy a flower dusted hat, braid a few stalks we invite visitors, local and international, to breath in the pungent air, soak up the cirrus clouded sun, and smile.
My Dad eats his way across the festival, from calamari to pepper steak sandwiches. My children, grandchildren and young students enjoy the wax hands and colorful discs to paint. Always we have a field hockey or speech team or other worthy cause to fund by our smiles and our cooking.
So slather on the sunscreen and slip on those comfortable shoes. Whether you are riding down the levee, strolling across town with parasol in hand, or motoring from Menlo or L.A, the town who knows her spices welcomes you to munch a bunch at our festival.
