Garlic Town Review 7
“We’re The Millers” got bad reviews so I’d knew it’d be a good movie. Belly laughs galore and Jennifer Aniston does a fine PG strip tease. The premise of the movie is a low life drug dealer needs a “family” so that he can smuggle in a “smidge” of dope. The writers have a sense of humor so wait until the outtakes to hear the theme song of “Friends”.
Redheaded kid was played perfectly nerdy. Homeless girl pops as a stand in daughter. Enjoy the apparent friendliness of fellow RVers. The over the border town looks exactly like the Tijuana of youth.

Jennifer Aniston has staying power. She will be the consummate actress able to remain a leading lady to handsome, self-centered leading men. Her look, her cradling of a fake weed baby, grabbing her “husband” and “kids” hands in prayer as a decoy move on an airplane are priceless. The need of the children, like any bereft supposedly independent teens to be mothered and have boundaries set is heartwarming.
Flip your schedule and go to the movies on Tuesdays when it’s cheap and to the Gilroy Farmers Market at 10 AM on summer Saturdays in the parking lot behind Gilroy’s City Hall. You’ll get sweet yellow nectarine slices for free as well as crunchy white slices that could be a perfect replacement for chips with a sandwich. The Hummus Boys dish out biteful after biteful of avocado, artichoke and habanera hummus on mixed pita bread while a wondrously funky jazz guitarist plays.

Met Holly a teacher at Gavilan's noncredit Gavilan campus in Hollister. She rewards her students at the end of the term by taking them across the street to order coffee in English. Even those proficient sign up again and again for her class as she is a caring intuitive teacher who knows how to touch their hearts as well as their brains. Inspiring story. Enjoy these last few days of summer fun.
