Gilroy Emergency Preparedness Fair

A community event to support Emergency Preparation for individuals and families throughout the community of Gilroy.

The City of Gilroy and The Gilroy Interfaith Council are hosting an Emergency Preparedness Fair. This is a fun, educational event to promote community wide emergency preparedness. The event takes place on Saturday, September 12th from 9am-1pm and will be located at the Wheeler Center in Gilroy (250 West 6th Street, Gilroy).

Booths and displays will be hosted by the American Red Cross, Home Depot, Master Gardeners, Water Works, CERT, PG&E and others. Topics will include electrical and gas safety, water storage, food storage, 72 hour kits, car kits, gardening as a source for food supply, home canning and storage, cooking with wheat, emergency power generation and Hands Only CPR. The Gilroy Fire Department will be displaying one of their engines and the Gilroy Police Department will be on hand with one of their vehicles to answer questions as well. Please join us for a fun and informative morning!
