Gilroy Man, 18, Arrested For Multiple Sexual Assaults: Police

GILROY, CA — An 18-year-old Gilroy man was recently arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting at least three people and police believe he may have possibly victimized others. In a news release Friday, Gilroy police said they obtained and served an arrest warrant for Gianni Filice, and that he is being held at a Santa Clara County jail.

Police say they received the first report of a sexual assault possibly committed by Filice in March 2017. Detectives began looking into the allegation and as their investigation continued, "two additional victims came forward and disclosed they had also been sexually assaulted by Mr. Filice," police said in the news release.

"In each case, Mr. Filice had established a relationship with the victim prior to the assault," police said.

Friday, the Gilroy Police Department encouraged any additional possible victims of Filice's alleged actions to come forward and make a report.
