Gilroy Motorcyclist Killed In Collision In Mountain View
The 24 year old was pronounced dead at a hospital.

A motorcyclist from Gilroy was killed in a collision with a car near state Highway 85 in Mountain View this morning, a police spokesman said.
The collision happened on southbound Moffett Boulevard just south of the Highway 85 overcrossing around 11 a.m., police Sgt. Saul Jaeger said.
The motorcyclist, a 24-year-old Gilroy man, was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, Jaeger said. The driver of the car did not suffer any injuries and was cooperative with investigators, he said.

It does not appear drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision, according to Jaeger.
The collision blocked southbound Moffett Boulevard near the freeway until shortly after 5 p.m., he said.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
Witnesses are asked to call Mountain View police Lt. Mike Canfield at (650) 903-6386 and refer to case number 15-2895.
