Only one of the initial suspects, a minor, remained in custody.

GILROY, CA -- Police have released three of the four people who were arrested in connection with an auto burglary and shooting in Gilroy early Friday morning.
Gilroy police Sgt. Jason Smith said Saturday afternoon that detectives did not have enough evidence to keep the three others in custody.
The remaining suspect, a boy who was arrested near the scene but who police do not believe to have been the shooter, was booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall.

A SWAT team was called in to hail two of the suspects, who would later be released from custody, out of one of their homes on nearby Ervin Court.
Smith said the SWAT team did a search of the house on Ervin because they did not know how many suspects were inside.
All of the house's occupants were compliant with police during the search and arrest, Smith said.
A fourth suspect was arrested on Princevalle Street before being released from custody later.
