SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — Santa Clara County residents will not lose power in the upcoming public safety shutoffs by Pacific Gas and Electric Company, the utility said Tuesday afternoon. Earlier this week, PG&E said several thousand county residents would be affected by the shutoffs, but the utility issued a revised plan due to changing weather conditions.

Elsewhere in Northern California, about 181,000 customers in 16 different counties are still slated to lose power on Wednesday, but Santa Clara County will be spared.

PG&E had previously said that some residents in Cupertino, Gilroy, La Honda, Los Gatos, Redwood Estates, Saratoga and Watsonville could lose power.
