While heading home last week, I was pleasantly surprised after looking into the sky. I was standing near downtown Gilroy, and there was the most beautiful sunset I've seen in a long time—maybe ever.
It didn't even resemble the sunsets I'm used to. It was more like a fine watercolor painting from the Old World, but with palm trees.
Within the 10 minutes I spent standing there, it changed from a deep, blood orange hue, to a lighter one with violet and blue tones.

It was so beautiful, I would have stood there for 10 minutes even if I hadn't been lost.
