Police: Six Gilroy Sex Offenders Out Of Compliance
Addresses of 68 offenders were checked during recent sweep.

Law enforcement officers found six residents of Gilroy out of compliance with their sex offender registration requirements during recent compliance checks, Gilroy police said.
Law enforcement will be seeking warrants for the six people not in compliance Jan. 8, according to police.
The checks were done with officers from the Gilroy Police Department, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshals Service, Santa Clara Police Department, the California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation and the SAFE Task Force.

Officers verified the addresses of 68 offenders, performed two parole searches and four probation searches.
Officers arrested one person for a drug-related offense and for violating their probation.

About 150 registered sex offenders live in the city limits of Gilroy, according to police.
The Megan’s Law website at www.meganslaw.ca.gov gives residents the ability to search for registered sex offenders by geographic location and name.
